On Friday, 5 September 2014, we celebrated Casual Day in conjunction with a Staff Wellness Day. Staff at The Urology Hospital were allowed to wear casual clothing if they bought a R10 Casual Day Sticker which goes to support the Spittskop Special Needs School in Thabazimbi.
A fun and relaxed environment was created on the grounds of the hospital but out of the way so it did not interfere with the daily activities of nursing staff and patients in the hospital. Staff were treated to exhibitors such as Virgin Active, who did a Zumba Dance class for all the staff; free coffee from Bean There Coffee; ABSA; massages from iRelax; Eskom bulb exchange and energy saving products; Allen Carr Stop Smoking the Easyway; a display about Prostate and Testicular cancer and Women’s Health from The Urology Hospital and a delicious braai at lunchtime.
A fun time was had by all!
