Mr M Anthony - Profile
Malcolm Anthony is a trained Six Sigma Black Belt with a Master’s degree in Commerce, specializing in Business Management. With 35 years’ experience in Hospital & Healthcare, Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals, and Diagnostics, exposure to other industries including Mining, Oil & Gas, Automotive, Telecommunications and Retail & Hospitality.
Through his tenure in the Medical Device Industry, he has launched several new to market technologies in South Africa including Needleless Systems as well as the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation System (TAVI). An entrepreneur at heart, he thrives on the challenge of formulating business turnaround and business development strategies, including New Products and services, Mergers and acquisitions, and Joint Ventures. With a passion for spicy food, red wine, and Formula One, Malcolm enjoys cooking, wine collecting, and of course, the open road.

Mr MJ Breed - Profile
Kobus Breed was born in 1959 in Pretoria and went to Menlo Park High School where he matriculated in 1976. He studied at the University of Pretoria and obtained a BCOM (HONS) Accounting and a Certificate in the Theory of Accounting.
Kobus joined Deloitte in 1981 and after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, he spent two years at Deloitte London. On his return to Deloitte South Africa he became a partner in November 1989. He left the Audit Environment and joined SAFCOL in 1993 as CFO and became the CEO in 2002, which position he acted in until 2011. Kobus was acting as an independent consultant and business advisor until he joined Zutari, a consulting engineering company in 2016 as CFO.
During his career Kobus served on many boards and board committees as executive and non-executive director and he has a passion for good corporate governance. He joined the Urolocare companies as an independent non-executive director in 2013 and currently serves as Chairman of the board. Kobus is married to Veronique and has three daughters. For recreation he goes horse riding, and he enjoys spending time with his family in nature.

Dr J Strydom - Profile
Dr Jos Strydom is a full-time specialist urologist and certified laparoscopic & robotic surgeon at the Urology Hospital since 2000. He mainly focuses on laparoscopic and robotic surgery in general urology and is registered with all medical aids for such procedures. He has a special interest in urological oncology. He has served as a part-time lecturer for the University of Pretoria and a part-time laparoscopic surgeon at Steve Biko Academic Hospital – Urology Department as well as Kalafong Hospital – Urology Department.


Dr KK Ijane - Profile
Dr Kabo Ijane is a Urologist in fulltime Private Practice. Completed his Undergraduate degree in 2000 from the University of Cape Town. He has been working in the field of Urology, for just over 16 years. First as a medical officer, a senior medical officer, a registrar (specialist in training), and then as a Specialist since March 2012. He has served as a consultant, the head of Paediatrics firm, the Head of the clinical unit, and an Acting Head of the department. A Member of SAMLA (South African Medico Legal Association). His interest is in Oncology and Paediatric reconstructive surgery. He has been in full-time Private practice since August 2016. A Certified Da Vinci Robotic Surgeon and also the 1st black robotic surgeon in SA.


Dr HA van der Merwe - Profile
Dr Hugo van der Merwe is a specialist urologist and robotic surgeon.
His fields of interest include Urological Oncology, Renal Transplantation, Robotic and Laparoscopic Surgery, and Management of advanced urological malignancies. He currently serves as a proctor surgeon for robotic surgery and hopes to assist in making this technology available for all patients in South Africa. He is a founding member of the Advanced Medical Oncology Service at the Urology Hospital. The unit is a multidisciplinary service which strives to offer world-class treatment to patients with advanced urological cancers.
He has been involved with clinical research for many years and currently serves on advisory panels for several pharmaceutical companies.
He is an active member of the South African Urological Association, the European Board of Urology, the European Society for Medical Oncology, and the American Society of Clinical Oncology(ASCO)

Mr R Cameron-Ellis - Profile
Robert Cameron-Ellis is a Chartered Accountant, Registered Auditor, and Certified Fraud Examiner. Robert currently chairs the City of Tshwane Audit and Performance Committee and was the Chairman of its Financial Disciplinary Board until 2021. Previously Robert was a director and chair of the Audit Committee of Emeritus Re (a small re-insurance company. Robert was a founding member of the South African Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners in 1998 and served on its board for 9 years. He was President four times. Robert practices as an independent forensic accountant and expert accounting witness.
He has assisted the Urology Hospital in resolving issues of white-collar crime several times over the last seven years. Robert has been involved in many fraud investigations in both the private and public sectors in South Africa, Africa and Eastern Europe. Robert was the primary witness in the IRBA’s disciplinary case against the auditors of the African Bank. He has also done several other investigations on behalf of the IRBA into significant audit failures in South Africa. He is currently assisting the FSCA with determining the personal involvement of key players in a recent restatement of a JSE and Frankfurt-listed entity.
Robert consults on the practical issues of director’s responsibilities to prevent fraud and has prepared many fraud prevention plans. Robert was a founding partner of the Deloitte Forensic Services practise. He was also an Executive for the law firm Edward Nathan Sonnenbergs heading their forensic practice in Johannesburg for 7 years. Robert lives in Muckleneuk, Pretoria, and plays an active role in the ratepayer’s association and in the security initiatives in the area. His office is in Clydesdale, Pretoria.
