Applications are invited from persons who possess the requisite experience, qualification and suitably meet the corresponding requirements for the following vacant role:
This position reports to the Pharmacy Manager and will be responsible for the following performance areas:
1.Stock ordering and receiving:
- Stock written up in time to ensure that orders are placed timeously.
- Ordering stock from suppliers when required.
- Boxes checked against delivery note for correctness when delivered.
- All stock checked against invoice before packing stock on shelf.
- Invoices not checked by store clerks followed up and escalated.
- Packing stock on shelves following the correct procedures.
2.Invoices and credit notes:
- GRN’s accurately captured (e.g., invoice number, amounts, pack sizes and purchase orders).
- To identify and escalate NAP price discrepancies.
- To capture all GRN’s by the end of the day and the end of the month.
- Follow up on outstanding invoices and queries on invoices regularly.
- No stock to be packed on shelf or GRN’ed without a valid invoice or delivery note.
- Credit process managed, credit notes followed up and credit notes captured correctly.
- Backorders identified, information requested and escalated.
- Stock Management:
- Stock transfers to wards done in time and accurately when required.
- Shelves packed to limit health and safety risks.
- Bin locations checked and escalated twice a year.
- Expiry dates checked, noted and removed as per policy.
- Cycle counts done when required.
REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 certificate.
- Stock Management certificate.
- 3 years of experience in stock control in a hospital setting.
- Trimed knowledge.
- Knowledge of Microsoft office (basics).
