Patient Administration Intern 12-month contract
This position is designated for people who lives with a disability.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following performance areas:
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Patients are pre-admitted as per pre-admission procedure.
- Clinical codes are (ICD/CPT/CDT codes) allocated.
- Patients are informed of documentation required and relevant financial aspects, for pre – admission, leading to admission.
- Administrative information will be obtained in the pre -admission centre prior to hospitalisation.
- Ensure admissions (including pre-admissions / bookings) are captured and processed as per procedure.
- Relevant pre- admission documents are obtained, processed, and filed as per specifications.
- Assist at reception during admissions when needed.
REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant qualification
- Must be unemployed.
- Computer literate
- Attention to detail.
- Team orientated.
- Client focus/ Service orientation
- Problem solving ability.
