KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Planned maintenance
- Perform schedules and carry out planned maintenance for all plant and machinery equipment
- Obtain service quotes
- Manage the filing system for all service reports
Adhoc repairs & maintenance
- Jobs are carried out within the scope of work
- Problems and re-work/quality failures are reported
- Responsible for all emergency call outs
- Manage all job cards
Manager on-site contractors
- Specifications on work to be carried out are established and communicated to contractors
- Contractors are informed of internal hospital procedures
- Work completed by contractors is monitored, approved, and signed off
- Hand-over documentation & commissioning reports are accurate
Risk control
- Safe working procedures are adhered to
- Areas & facilities are left clean and functional
Qualifications and Experience
- N3 plus National trade certificate (Mechanical)
- 3-5 years’ hospital industry plant and machinery experience, after completion of the apprenticeship program.
- Knowledge and application of the Occupational Health and Safety act and other relevant regulatory requirements
- Computer literacy will be an advantage
