Planned maintenance

  • Perform schedules and carry out planned maintenance for all plant and machinery equipment
  • Obtain service quotes
  • Manage the filing system for all service reports

Adhoc repairs & maintenance

  • Jobs are carried out within the scope of work
  • Problems and re-work/quality failures are reported
  • Responsible for all emergency call outs
  • Manage all job cards

Manager on-site contractors

  • Specifications on work to be carried out are established and communicated to contractors
  • Contractors are informed of internal hospital procedures
  • Work completed by contractors is monitored, approved, and signed off
  • Hand-over documentation & commissioning reports are accurate

Risk control

  • Safe working procedures are adhered to
  • Areas & facilities are left clean and functional

Qualifications and Experience

  • N3 plus National trade certificate (Mechanical)
  • 3-5 years’ hospital industry plant and machinery experience, after completion of the apprenticeship program.
  • Knowledge and application of the Occupational Health and Safety act and other relevant regulatory requirements
  • Computer literacy will be an advantage
