MARKETING ASSISTANT
This position reports to the Marketing and Stakeholder Relationship officer and will be responsible for the following performance areas:
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- The Marketing Assistant will coordinate daily marketing activities while supporting the Marketing and Stakeholder Relations Officer in driving the marketing initiatives
- Assisting with the planning and implementation of marketing activations for direct and stakeholder campaigns.
- Providing support for marketing events and exhibitions as required.
- Coordinating the production of marketing communications and collateral.
- Uploading marketing material to online libraries, internet groups and internal social media sites.
- Provide support in compiling social media content
- Updating and maintaining the marketing department’s documentation.
- Control all marketing branding and assets, including the ordering, issuing of material.
- Special project coordination and the marketing elements thereof.
- Assisting with marketing and communication functions of the team and other related duties as assigned.
- Engage with current and potential referral channel through regular communication and ad hoc visits. (GPs)
- Undertaking daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department’s activities.
- Updating spreadsheets, databases, and inventories
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Marketing, PR, or Communications
- Experience using social media would be beneficial.
- Computer proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PPT, Excel).
- Professional, presentable, and articulate.
- Effective project management skills.
- Sound understanding of marketing principles.
- An ability to communicate ideas.
- Excellent communication skills – written and spoken.
- Strong administration and organisational skills.
- Ability to function within an existing team.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Relevant experience in healthcare industry would be advantageous.
