Social Media – Suit Up

Suit Up September is here!

September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month and The Prostate Cancer Foundation is asking companies, sports clubs, healthcare professionals, academic departments and other organisations to suit up on the 27th September or on any other day in September to help create awareness about prostate cancer.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer affecting men & between 1 in 4 and 1 in 8 men will be affected depending on their ethnicity.

If prostate cancer is diagnosed in the early stages the survival rate after 5 years is 98%. If it has spread (metastasized) the survival rate after 5 years is only 30%.

There are no symptoms in the early stages which is why raising awareness about age appropriate screening is so important.
